AFA has a history of deploying individuals with questionable, even illegal, behavior in its efforts to tarnish SkyWest’s reputation. They continue this practice with a disgruntled former employee who, after resigning his SIA Board position, chose to continue working at SkyWest for nearly another two years before being ultimately terminated for fraud. AFA has been desperately seeking support among SkyWest flight attendants for several years now, and many of the podcast’s “revelations” are the latest in a string of stories manufactured and propagated by the mega-union, even as it fails to secure competitive contracts for its own membership.
We respect our people and their ability to discern the facts from the blatant lies being spread by AFA.
SkyWest employees have chosen to remain union free for over 50 years. Our ability to work together without outside interference or a national agenda has led to unmatched success for our people. The existence of a union would undoubtedly compromise the positive culture we have worked together to create.
SkyWest is committed to providing the best overall pay and benefits in the regional industry and our labor representation groups allow for open and honest communication, direct negotiation, and input to management – without paying any union dues or sacrificing SkyWest priorities for a national union agenda.
Leadership at SkyWest is amazing. From my own personal experiences…they have always been there for me. That's why I've stayed for so long.
- Providing the best overall pay and benefits in the regional industry.
- Providing top-tier pay, benefits, and work rules which are part of your legally recognized collective bargaining agreement.
- Remaining uniquely different in an industry that is often riddled with conflict between leadership and employees.
- Working collaboratively together to benefit SkyWest employees.
